I just got a Certified!

Exciting news! I’m proud to announce I’m now a Certified Crystal Practitioner (CCP)!

It’s exciting to share the news. I graduated from the Hibiscus Moon Crystal Academy last November, where I’ve been deep in study mode, learning all about crystal healing and the science behind how crystals work.

This course provided the scientific facts about how crystals promote an energetic shift in the body and therefore also on the mind and soul. It’s also helped me to use my crystals in a whole new way. As I trained professional, I now have a sound understanding of the human electromagnetic field and how crystals interact with it. My training allows me to recognize and remedy energetic imbalances or blockages within this field utilizing crystal energy.

I now expand my wellness practice to offer in-person Crystal Healing in Austin, TX and Distance Crystal Healing services.

Crystals are amazing gifts from the Earth and they are powerful energetic. In fact, the stable energetic vibrations from crystals can be used to re-align and direct the flow of energy within the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies, returning them to a state of health and wholeness.

This is why it’s essential that those who use crystals for healing purposes have had adequate training in order to do so in an effective yet secure, safe, and sensible manner.

Crystal Healing is a deeply relaxing experience involving minimal contact therapy. It’s a safe and rejuvenating therapy that aims to identify and restore energetic imbalances in the body. What's not to love about that?!

In addition to placing crystals and stones on the body, other complementary vibrational frequency tools such as sound healing and aromatherapy may also be used during each session to amplify results. I combine these tools to provide my clients with the ultimate relaxing crystal healing experience and, let me tell you, the results are AMAZING!

You’ll see from my extensive credentials, I firmly believe that training and certification are fundamental to providing the highest level of service and integrity in my wellness practice.

Please visit the Book a session section for further information and session packages.

I can’t wait to share this incredible experience with you!

If you have any questions or comments, please share below.

Crystal blessing!

Crystal Cleansing 101

All crystals need cleansing and activating before use.

Crystals that are not soluble, friable or layered can be held under running water for a few minutes, or soaked overnight in spring water. Allow your crystals to dry naturally on a clean cloth; do not rub.

Smudge crystals or pass them through the light from a candle.

Place your crystal in front of you on a white cloth and imagine a stream of pure water flowing through the crystal, deeply cleansing it.

Delicate crystals can be cleansed with sound, light, visualization or by placing them inside a bowl of raw brown rice overnight. The rice should be thrown away after this and never eaten.

Crystal or clusters that are not layered, friable or delicate can be left in sea or rock salt overnight. Gently brush every speck of salt off afterward as they could damage the crystal, especially in a damp atmosphere.

Certain crystals have the ability to cleanse other crystals.

Keep a Carnelian in a bag of tumbled stones and you will never need to cleanse them using any other method.

A small crystal can be left overnight on a Clear Quartz cluster or Amethyst cluster to be cleansed.

A bed of flower petals can be used for cleansing in a similar way to the rice bowl method.

Finally, visualize the crystals surrounded by light, which will purify and reenergize them.

Choosing and working with a pendulum

Dowsing is a natural and ancient human ability and possibly the oldest form of divination.

Any dowsing tool can be used to answer any “yes” or “no” questions you wish to ask. You can use a pendulum, copper rods or a forked twig to dowse. For practical purposes, a pendulum is the most convenient and the easiest to carry around.

Pendulums are simply pieces of metal or crystal suspended on a chain or string.

Choosing the right pendulum

You can either make one or buy one at your favorite local or online occult shop! Simply stand in front of a selection of pendulums or browse the webpage and select the first one you notice. If you’re buying yours physically, grab the pendulum and ask whether it is a good one for you to work with. Keep doing this until you find the pendulum that answers “yes”.

Asking a question

To use a pendulum, hold it between the thumb and forefinger (index finger) of your most receptive hand (in most people this means the left) with about a hand’s length of chain hanging down to the pendulum. Wrap the remaining chain around your fingers and ask a simple question to which you know the answer is “yes”. For example, if you are a woman, you could ask: “Am I a woman?”. The pendulum will make a movement in one direction for “yes”.

Now ask the opposite question and the pendulum should make a different movement for “no”. See? Now, that was easy! You have now identified the way in which your pendulum answers and you can ask any question you wish!

As with all spiritual tools, pendulums respond to how they are treated. If you are serious, your pendulum will always give you the correct answer. Just be aware of how you phrase your questions; they need to be precise and unambiguous and be capable of a straight ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer.

If you treat your questions as a game or you continually ask the same question, your pendulum will respond in an accordingly insincere way.

Selecting crystals with a pendulum

Now that you’ve found your pendulum, you can use it to help you to select crystals that are right for you! Simply hold the pendulum over a crystal, ask whether it is the right choice for you and then observe the pendulum’s movement.

A focused mind, trust in the process, carefully worded questions, and a clear intent will support your dowsing and your healing.

What is smudging?

Smudging is a process where one invites the smoke of certain plants or herbs to neutralize or chase away negative energy. It’s one of the oldest and purest methods of cleansing and balancing a person, an animal, an object or a space.

Most commonly, Sage is used to ward off or neutralize the negative and unwanted energy and then sweetgrass is used to attract peace and positive energy.

When smudging, there are many other herbs and plants that may be used.

The ritual burning of herbs and herbal resins is common to many cultures.

Science has proven that certain herbs do have cleansing powers, such as those used in pesticides.

Sage is for healing. The Latin for sage, ‘Salvia,’ means ‘to heal.’ By burning sage you’re not just cleansing or purifying a place, you’re increasing spiritual awareness, wisdom and clarity.

The term “smudging” seems to have originated with the Native Americans. Smudging has come to be known as a spiritual ritual where one connects with the energy of the smoke with gratitude and respect, asking for the smoke to bless, cleanse and clear the person, the object or the space in need of cleansing.

Smudging is seen as a way to connect and balance the physical world with the spiritual realm, and to ensure that only the best in the spiritual realm is affecting and lingering within us and our home, or space.

The ritual includes all four elements: earth, air, fire and water. (sage, smoke, fire and abalone shell). This is symbolic, giving depth to the ritual!

Smudging a space or even your body is like taking an energetic shower, or deep cleansing. Our state of mind and attitude carry very strong vibrations that will affect the outcome of the ritual, so it's necessary to assess where your mind and emotions are before beginning the smudging process.

A smudging ritual can be as elaborate or as simple as you want it to be. If you are burning sage to purify a space or a person, the best sage to use for such purposes is white sage.

What you’ll need:

The process is simple. These are the tools you need to effectively clear yourself, your home and others of negative or unwanted energy:

  • Feather (or feather wand)
  • Abalone shell (or fireproof bowl)
  • A small amount of sand to stay in your shell or bowl (optional)
  • Candle (or lighter)
  • White sage smudge stick (or loose leaves of white sage)
  • Sweetgrass braid or incense

You always want to begin with a mantra, prayer or by setting an intention.

Place the bundled sage into the abalone shell (or bowl) and light it for a few seconds before extinguishing the flame. Let the smoke billow up.

Slowly walk around the room and take the smoke to each area you would like to cleanse. Fan the smoke with the feather to reach every corner. Concentrate on gateway areas, such as windows, doors, closets, as well as hallways and corners of a room. Use your intuition, your space will usually inform you as to which areas need to be cleansed the most.

Focus on particularly busy areas, both foot traffic wise (kitchen) and mentally (computer room). If you have a pet, be sure to sage them and their sleeping area.

Burn incense or sweetgrass immediately after a saging session. Sage has a more masculine/yang aspect and is nicely coupled by the feminine/yin aspect of incense or sweetgrass.

Typically, smudging should be done once or twice a week. But ideally, the best time to smudge is whenever you feel like your intuition is telling you to.

If possible, avoid large commercial vendors because with a sacred and ceremonial product, intentions matter, cultivation matters, as does the general aura of the seller. Small private stores put personal care into your order.

All of these subtle vibrations pass to the product and ultimately into the space you are smudging.

Finally, be careful!

Follow all of the precautions you would in any other situation where you would be working with fire. If you choose to smudge a child, an infant or someone with breathing complications, take extra precautions to avoid wafting smoke directly into their face.

Those with asthma, allergies and other potential breathing complications should be extra careful.

Don't burn Sage in a paper bowl.

Don't stick the feather directly into the flame.

Don't waft the smoke so forcefully that the ash jumps from your shell and lands on the floor or carpet.

Now you're ready. Smudge away!
